It will be held on October 22nd, at 10:30 am, in Coimbra. It has three races: Half Marathon (21k), Mini Marathon (10k) and walk (5k). The fourth edition of EDP Coimbra Half Marathon is a GlobalSport organization through the Running Wonders EDP with the support of the Municipality of Coimbra.
The University of Coimbra – Alta and Sofia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013. It has long had dreamed of this event, not only for the cultural value of this magnificent heritage, but also for the beauty and environment that the whole town offers to whom the visit.
The University of Coimbra was the only Portuguese institution of higher education for many centuries, and the classification as World Heritage ‘recognizes the central action that the University of Coimbra has played in the history of mankind’.
The fourth edition of EDP Coimbra Half Marathon is a unique milestone in the experience that in October will live in the city of Students. Certainly, with participants coming from all over the world and thousands of Portuguese who passed through here in other times. The nostalgia will certainly run in our side.
EDP Coimbra Half Marathon is the fourth stage of Running Wonders circuit – half marathons in Heritage World, which aims to involve all participants in sustainability attitude toward the heritage we want to preserve and share by performing unique experiences disclosure of the territories, as conferences, exhibitions, tastings and lots of entertainment.

There will be transportation to the showers between 12:00 and 13:30 near the roundabout – near the petrol pumps.
The Race of Knowledge has a maximum duration of three hours. The organization controls the pace walk. Registration is limited to ten thousand participants and can be performed in Running Wonders EDP website.
To all registered participants are offered a kit of participation, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon includes a technical t-shirt *, participants enrolled in the walk are offered a t-shirt * Official Running Wonders EDP, whose use is mandatory during the race. All participants enjoy a free proof safe.
Along the route are provided several regular points of water supply. To participants in the Half Marathon are still available supply of isotonic drink and fruit at the finish. The race have the presence of a medical team which specializes in conjunction with ambulance service providing full support medical possible and necessary in the course of the race.
The Race of Knowledge have podium ceremony for the top three in the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon, male and female, with exclusive prizes Running Wonders EDP. All participants in the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon receive participation medal. The classified in these two races may request, after the end of the race, your digital certificate online. For the Walk there is no classification.
